Lake Raystown Resort

Planning on splurging on your camping trip? You may visit Lake Raystown Resort which sits on a 400-acre land with waterfront views. Located at the center, it is near the metro areas, so it makes it easier to locate. This camp offers a variety of activities and accommodations for you to enjoy. It was rated good by Campground Reviews and is recommended for those who are bringing RVs as it has large areas perfect for at most 25ft large RVs. 

They have around 40 RV campsites which offer either a waterfront or wooded view. It also offers hookups for electricity, water, sewer, and cable TV. Several sites for tents are also available if you wish to experience nature in the most relaxing way. All of the accommodations here requires a reservation

There are several things that you could do individually, but it is recommended that you go to Lake Raystown in a big group as they offer team building activities. If you plan to go with family, they also have a waterpark that can be enjoyed by children; pools for swimming, a showboat, a marina, and geocoaching for treasure hunting and exploration activities of all ages.

Hickory Lake Campground

This campground is located near Delaware Water Gap and provides a lush area for camping. It was rated by Campground Reviews as good and the visitors noted that this campground is more suited for RV camping as it has a large area capable of catering to RVs of any size. Hickory Lake Campground is also recommended for long stays.

If you are bringing an RV, there are 30 to 50-amp sites are available in this campground. This site has a 60’x30′ large swimming pool and a playground for the children. They also have a campground store for your needs, including RV materials. There is a regular Bingo, Trivial Pursuit and indoor carnival if you are not into outdoor activities. 

Rent for RVs with electric and water hookup costs $35 per night for two persons. For Any additional person over 5 years old, you will be charged $4. Tent areas are charged $12 per person and visitors fee range from $4 – $7 depending on the length of your stay. 

Keen Lake Camping and Cottage Resort

Sitting at the heart of the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania, this campground is filled with picturesque views of the woods and the clean lake. The Keen family have been running this campground for more than 60 years and is seen as a fun and activity-filled site. It is rated 4.0 stars on Trip Advisor. According to prior guests, the campground has very accommodating owners and enjoyable activities.

The resort boasts three RV campsite options: basic, premium, and lakefront premium. No matter what you choose, the site will have complete hookups including cable TV. Rates are dependent on your visiting date/s. Daily rate ranges from $59- $79 while three-night rate ranges for $222- $253. Glamping near the lake, which costs $119-$194, is also an option. 

Since it lies by the lake, the resort is filled with activities such as boating, kayaking, swimming, canoeing, aqua cycles, and even fishing. If you’re not into water activities, you can still enjoy a number activities while bound to land. You can instead explore on-site activities such as shuffleboard, basketball, playgrounds, and outdoor movies. Whatever you prefer, you will surely have fun at Keen Lake Camping and Cottage Resort

Evergreen Lake Fishing and Camping

The Evergreen Lake campground is your home away from home. Located at the peaceful Northampton County, this area ensures a peaceful place to camp in but is also very accessible. It is rated good on Campground Reviews, 4.5 stars on Trip Advisor and is a well-maintained and peaceful place according to the guests who have visited. 

Evergeen Lake Fishing and Camping promotes camaraderie among the campers that is why they plan small gatherings including themed dinners, potluck dinners, and make your own ice cream sundaes. They also have flea markets and horseshoe tournaments. If you are also into games, they have an arcade, ball field, and a miniature golf course. And of course, don’t forget the regular camp activities such as hiking and swimming. 

This campground has 250 sites where you can camp either on RV or tents. They also provide an electric, cable TV and sewer hookup.  Aside from the lake, there is also a nearby white sand beach where you can swim. 

The rent for the tent area costs $32 per night, $37 with 20-amp electric and water hookup, and $40 for 30-amp electric and water hookups. They also have monthly rates with full hookups that ranges from $510-$610. 

Tanglewood Camping and RV Park 

The Tanglewood Camping and RV Park is known for its stargazing-friendly location so it is better that you stay there for a couple of nights to take in the magical experience. This is rated 4.5 stars by its visitors because of its clean areas and helpful staff.  

If you are into ball games, you may check out the volleyball and basketball areas. You can also fish in around five lakes surrounding the park. There are also some scheduled events which you and your family can enjoy together. 

You can choose between primitive site; water and electric site; and water, electric and sewer site if you are planning on camping with your RV. It ranges from $35-$54 depending on the type of area you will be renting. Minimum is two nights for this type of set-up. They do not have sites for tents in this park so if you do not have an RV, you will have to rent a cabin which ranges from $66-$122.
